Irbid National University

Irbid National University (INU) was established in 1994 as a Non-Governmental Organization, it is a private university located in Irbid Governorate, far 75km north of Amman the capital of Jordan, Jordan. The INU has a comprehensive urban campus. The university includes six Faculties:

  • Faculty of Arts,
  • Faculty of Science and Information Technology,
  • Faculty of Nursing,
  • Faculty of Law,
  • Faculty of Educational Sciences,
  • Faculty of Business Administration and financial sciences.

INU is a motivated community of scholars and scientists (with 200 academic and administrative employees, and around 3000 students) with a shared dedication to the quest of knowledge, the value of community service, and the importance of dialogue to a stable and flourishing society. INU aspires to be a distinguished university that could provide its students with the latest knowledge and information, and supply the labour market with highly innovative alumni that could participate in serving the community and humanity at large. It also works to develop its infrastructure to be an attractive environment for students from Jordan and neighbouring countries. The mission of the university is based on three axes, namely: quality education, scientific research, and serving community. Irbid Private works to create an academically attractive environment that stimulates technological innovation related to sustainable development, and improve interaction with the community to contribute to its development scientifically, economically, socially and culturally.

Ahmad Khasawneh

Ahmad Khasawneh is the President of Irbid National University. He is a Professor of Information Systems at the Hashemite University of Jordan, where he also functioned as the Dean of Academic Development and International Outreach, Dean of Prince AL Hussein Bin Abdullah II Faculty of Information Technology, President Assistant and Director of Center Information  Communication and e-Learning Technology from 2007 through 2020. He was responsible for establishing, managing and overseeing the execution of a comprehensive information technology strategy and quality assurance as well as international relationship and outreach for the university.

Ahmad Odat is an Assistant of President of Irbid National University and Dean of Scientific Research and Higher Education. He is a Professor of Artificial Intelligent at Irbid National University of Jordan, where he also functioned as a Dean of Science and Information Technology.

Farah Zawaideh

I’m Professor Farah Zawaideh Dean of Student Affairs at Irbid National University, I got my PHD in Computer Information System from Arab Academy for Banking and Financial Sciences, I have Thirteen Years Teaching and Administrative Work Experience. I also have more than 25 Research Papers Related to Artificial Intelligence Applications and Data mining. I am also active in Several Areas Concerned with Community Service.

Motasem Abu-Dawas

Motasem Abu-Dawas is an associate professor at the Department of Computer Science, Irbid National University, Jordan. He obtained his Ph.D. from the Saint-Petersburg Electrotechnical University «LETI». V.I. Ulyanov (Lenin) Russia, in 2009. His research interests include computer aided design systems, and the development of intelligent tutoring systems. Dr. Abu-Dawas has published many original contributions in the field of automated design, the organization of computer aided design, personalized tutoring systems.
