UJ team of Edu4ALL project participated in the deaf day ceremony

UJ team of Edu4ALL project participated in the deaf day ceremony on Sep 10th 2022 in Sahhab cultural center, Sahhab city, Amman, Jordan. The ceremony was organized by the first Jordanian association for sign language interpreters (JOSLT1) to celebrate deaf students who passed 2022 secondary school exams. Those students are expected to join university in Oct. 2022.  The ceremony was held on the honor of honorable deputy of Jordanian parliament, Mr. Abdullah Menwar Abu Zaid. Dr. Ismail Altaharwa, the coordinator of Edu4ALL UJ team, welcomed attendees, introduced Edu4ALL partners, and Summarized Edu4ALL objectives and expected outcomes. He briefly talked about the accessibility unit to be established as part of the Edu4ALL project in The University of Jordan. He presented few examples of the assistive technology tools to be made available at the service of students with disability in the University of Jordan. Finally, Dr. Altaharwa thanked JOSLT1 board of directors, represented by their board chairman, Mr. Osama Al-Tahrawee, for organizing the event and congratulated deaf students who passed 2022 secondary school exams.
